This tour gives
you an opportunity to make the
"ultimate pilgrimage" to holy
Kailash and Manasarovar. Starting
from Kathmandu in Nepal the tour
includes traveling overland to
the sacred Manasarovar Lake and
Mount Kailash.
You will have the chance to camp
by the ethereal waters of the
holy lake and to take part in a
3-day kora around Mt. Kailash, a
highlight of this spiritual
journey in a holy and beautiful
land.
This tour includes rigorous
overland driving, trekking and
camping through remote regions
of western Tibet, at altitudes
of 2,745m/9,000ft and
4,880m/16,000ft, hiking to a
maximum of 5600m/18,400ft. A
Nepalese Sherpa team that
includes a camp cook and guide
will support this tour. All
camping equipment will be
provided. While trekking,
clients carry a small daypack
only and hike at easy pace. All
equipment and luggage will be
carried by porters/pack-animals. |

Itinerary in Detail |
Days 01 : Scenic drives
from Kathmandu to Nepal/China Friendship Bridge and
drive to Zhangmu, and O/N at hotel. |
Days 02 : Drive to Paigutso
Lake, and Tented camp. |
Days 03 : Drive to Saga,
and tented camp. |
Days 04 : Drive to Paryang,
and tented camp |
Days 05 : Drive to
Manasarovar, and tented camp near Chiu Gompa. |
Days 06 : Rest day at
Manasarovar |
Days 07 : Drive to Darchen,
and tented camp or Guest houses.
Start Mt. Kailash Circumambulation |
Days 08 : Trek to Derapuk,
and tented camp. |
Days 09 : Trek over Dolma
La pass (5600 meters.) and trek down to Zudulpuk,
and camp. |
Days 10 : Trek to near
Darchen (circumambulation ends here), and drive to
Manasarovar, and tented camp. |
Days 11 : Drive to Paryang,
and tented camp. |
Days 12 : Drive to Saga,
and tented camp. |
Days 13 : Drive to Nyalam,
and tented camp. |
Days 14 : Drive to
Friendship Bridge and proceed to Kathmandu. |
